On 1 September, 2012, Mongoose Publishing will officially release the highly anticipated Singapore edition of the international men’s title Esquire. The magazine will be available at all local newsstands, bookstores and premium consumer retail channels and will debut at a cover price of $8.00 SGD. A print run of 25,000 copies is slated for the inaugural issue that will entail a solid 300 page read. A high visibility, tongue-in-cheek viral campaign will kick off the buzz in early August, while an extravagantly themed VIP party will be the talk of Singapore, a must-attend celebration of Man At His Best, officially launching the premier issue of Esquire Singapore on 31 August 2012.

Esquire, a respected magazine title and recognized brand worldwide, promises to redefine the way men are portrayed and reached in Singapore. The upcoming edition will continue the flagship’s tradition of catering to “Man At His Best” and feature the magazine’s customary authoritative conversation on a wide range of topics including fashion, gadgets, travel, politics and the arts.

Launched in London in 1990 with offices in New York, Singapore, Mumbai and Kuala Lumpur, Mongoose Publishing’s name is synonymous with esteemed titles publishing magazines like Time Out Kuala Lumpur, Expatriate Lifestyle, Golf Vacations, and Esquire Malaysia, as well as acting as advertising sales representatives for Newsweek, Time and National Geographic. Veteran Editor-in-Chief Sam Coleman will helm Singapore’s operation after successfully having launched the Malaysian edition only a year back. “The beauty of Esquire is that every one of its international editions is completely localised and relevant yet keeps its international flavour. That’s certainly the case in Singapore where we’ve been recruiting the best writers, photographers and illustrators, as well top people in the industry for our editorial team, to create an amazing Esquire Singapore experience.” On the frontline of his newly minted editorial team are the highly respected Mark Tay, Managing Editor, and Janie Cai, Fashion Director. Both Mark and Janie are well-regarded industry experts having pioneered the men’s magazine genre with their respective expertise.
