Time Out Turns 2
April 8 2010:Time Out Kuala Lumpur celebrated our 2nd Anniversary with more than 500 specially invited guests who partied the night away at Bar Savanh Too in Mont Kiara.
In terms of entertainment, guests couldn't have asked for more with the lovely Amanda Evangeline Ting hosting the night in style. She welcomed an array of performers to the stage including local band Inverted Coma, top stand-up and arguably the funniest Malaysian comedian Kuah Jenhan, and a specially prepared fashion show featuring the latest wears from Lee Jeans, Eclipse, accessories from Thomas Sabo and hair and make-up by Snips.
Between music and drinks from the ever-lovely Heineken and Dominica Versace by Danzka Marketing, Amanda and guests then gave away well over RM12,000 worth of top prizes from the likes of Sea Cuisine, Lee Jeans, KS Cosmetics, OPI, Mac, Sothy's, Thomas Sabo and a 3 day stay at Club Med Cherating.
As if that weren't enough, nobody left empty-handed as each guest received a goodie bag worth RM1,100, crammed full of treats and vouchers from Energy Day Spa, Sothy's, KS Cosmetics, OPI, Sea Cuisine, Snips, Tanamera and Durex. Not to mention the latest edition of Time Out KL magazine and a copy of the Time Out Malaysia Guide to Restaurants, Bars & Clubs – the launch of which was another reason to celebrate.
The evening closed with Amanda inviting Time Out KL editor Lim Chee Wah to cut a huge cake donated by Hotel Equatorial Kuala Lumpur, monitored closely by editorial director Matt Bellotti who had earlier recited a self-written ode on 'If Time Out were a person...'.
The party was a wonderful success, thanks largely to the venue and excellent talent who performed, but mainly to the many hundreds who braved the traffic to attend and our very kind sponsors. Time Out KL thanks you all and hopes to see you at many more events in the future!

They'd watch the odd TV show
