Time Out KL Food Awards 2009
WINNERS REVEALED!
This December Time Out Kuala Lumpur unveiled the winners of the inaugural Time Out KL Food Awards – Kuala Lumpur’s biggest and best independent food awards.
Food Awards (as with the majority of food coverage in the media) have not traditionally offered a fair reflection of what diners in KL actually feel about food, often relying on restaurants to PAY to participate! That’s why Time Out KL ensured our Food Awards were a true reflection of the opinions of the people who know the gastronomic scene here… the public.
An astonishing number of votes were cast, well into the thousands, which is an unprecedented interactive experience for the people of KL. Voters told Time Out KL their favourite restaurants, dishes and chefs across 20 categories.
For four months this year voting was open to the KL public through www.timeoutkl.com and the winners and finalists all received certificate awards to mark their triumph. Watch out across the city of KL for outlets displayed their badge of achievement with pride.
