Mongoose Publishing wins contract to re-launch the Royal Selangor Golf Club Magazine, The Circular.
The Circular is the monthly magazine of The Royal Selangor Golf Club. The Club is the oldest and most prestigious golf club in Malaysia having been founded in 1893 and is the only club based in central KL. Mongoose Publishing has been appointed by the Club to conduct a thorough revamp of the publication as part of the Club’s overall renovation program.
Graham Paling, Managing Director of Mongoose Publishing and RSGC member says:
“We are delighted to have been appointed by the RSGC and very excited about the prospect of re-launching the magazine. We intend to maintain the essential information that The Circular has provided since its inception while delivering a range of new dimensions to this critical communications platform. As well as expanding golf and membership related information we also plan to include new features including lifestyle, food, fashion, travel and health. The new magazine will more accurately reflect the quality and prestige of the Club’s membership and represent an exciting opportunity for advertisers to reach this influential audience.”
The new look Circular has been redesigned by Mongoose’s award winning Creative Director, Hyzein Kamarudin. Hyzein has recently completed a redesign of Expatriate Lifestyle and his previous achievements include work for Korean Air, Prestige and the Singapore launch of August Man.
Zalina Abdul Aziz, Events, Communications and F&B Manager of the RSGC says:
"The Circular is the Royal Selangor Golf Club's principal link to its membership. We chose to work with Mongoose Publishing because they demonstrated a clear understanding of our brand and the ability to deliver a stylish and innovative solution to our marketing requirements. We are very excited about the prospect of working with their young, enthusiastic publishing team and look forward to seeing the new look of the magazine."
From the June issue the revamped magazine will increase in pagination from 48 to over 90 pages. It will continue to be delivered by mail on a monthly basis to the Club’s 7,000 members.
